2016 Conference

NCADV's 2016 National Conference on Domestic Violence: Voices United

October 23-26, 2016

The Sheraton Wild Horse Hotel in Chandler, Arizona

Join advocates, victims, survivors, and allies for this critical domestic violence conference!

Voices United will bring together more than 100 experts in domestic violence from across the nation and internationally to address various issues that intersect including the lethal intersection of guns and domestic violence, effective systemic responses, trauma and DV, traumatic brain injury, housing stability and domestic violence, and the many other issues related to addressing domestic violence  and breaking barriers that prevent culture change.  Robyn Thomas, Executive Director of Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, will serve as our keynote speaker on Tuesday, October 25th and will address how Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, NCADV and others are working to counter gun violence and domestic abuse. We will be premiering the film “Home Truth” which is the documentary of the Jessica Gonzales case -- the first ever domestic violence case brought to a human rights tribunal.

We are expecting over 400 victims, survivors, advocates and other experts in the field at Voices United to share strategies to better support and assist victims and survivors and learn ways to institute the mindset of zero tolerance for domestic violence within their communities. The NCADV has supported and served victims and survivors since 1978 and has hosted this biennial conference for over 20 years.  It is known as the conference to attend to enhance the knowledge of and energize those doing the  difficult work of supporting victims and survivors.
