Description:

The Center for Health and Safety Culture of the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University is hosting their 2018 Positive Culture Framework Training on September 25-27 in Savannah, GA. The framework embraces a cultural approach, is grounded in the latest science, and includes positive norms in improving health and safety. This 2.5-day training is designed to address a wide variety of issues including (but not limited to) substance misuse, traffic safety, and violence prevention.

The 2018 Positive Culture Framework Training is for those interested in:

  • becoming a more effective prevention leader in their community or organization;
  • communicating effectively to advocate for prevention, health, and safety; or
  • learning how to better understand and align effective strategies.

The training covers the Center's seven-step, cultural transformation process and initiates the development of skills in three critical areas: leadership, communication, and the integration of effective strategies. Participants will leave with an understanding of how culture influences behavior, how we can cultivate cultural transformation, and the benefits of a comprehensive, positive approach. This training is an excellent opportunity to engage with others doing similar work across the country and move towards cultivating a culture that supports and sustains health and safety.

The Center for Health and Safety Culture is offering a discounted early registration price until August 10, 2018 at 11:59 PM (MDT). Standard registration ends on September 11, 2018, at 11:59 PM (MDT). The registration price includes registration, a Positive Culture Framework manual, other training materials, all-day beverages, breakfast, and morning and afternoon snacks.
