April Webinar – Serving Human Trafficking Survivors: An Introduction for Domestic Violence Organizations

In this 90-minute webinar you will hear from:

  • Jenny Sell, Service Provider Partnership Manager, National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH), Polaris - Freedom Happens Now

On Wednesday, April 17th at 1:00 PM EST, the National Human Trafficking Hotline (NHTH), operated by Polaris, will join NCADV to explore the intersection of domestic violence and human trafficking. The presentation will help prepare domestic violence professionals who encounter survivors of human trafficking through four objectives: defining human trafficking; describing the intersections between trafficking and domestic violence; identifying promising practices to overcome challenges in sustaining trafficking programs; and highlighting how the allies in the domestic violence field partner with the Hotline to ensure survivors have access to the critical support they need.

On Thursday, May 16th at 1:00 PM EST, NW Network of Bisexual, Trans, Lesbian & Gay Survivors of Abuse will join NCADV to share insights on offering all-gender programming. "How do we support men in our programs? How do we serve transgender people?" Programs already have the skills to offer robust supports to their communities. This webinar will translate those skills to support survivors across gender. We will discuss your programs' current strengths and barriers to offering all-gender services. This session will also delve into the nuance of providing all gender services and making actionable next steps for your organization.

June Webinar - #DisarmDV: Domestic Violence and Firearms

In this 90-minute webinar you will hear from:

  • Rachel Graber, Director of Public Policy, National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV)

On Wednesday, June 5th at 1:00 PM EST, during National Gun Violence Awareness Month, NCADV will offer a free webinar to explore the intersection of domestic violence and firearms. Disarm Domestic Violence is an online tool that provides state-specific information about domestic violence firearms laws, public health data, and protective orders for a diverse group of stakeholders. The goal of this session is to familiarize attendees with the valuable tools currently available on the Disarm Domestic Violence website and answer any questions they may have.
