Women’s Advocates was the nations’ first shelter for domestic violence victims. Women’s Advocates is inviting the public to join them in recognizing the signs of domestic violence this October, and they will be holding a panel discussion for the public on October 22nd that will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.

Women’s Advocates believes that if more people could understand the signs of abuse, we’d be able to connect more victims of abuse to safety resources.

Domestic abuse can make itself evident in a few ways, and this panel discussion will feature experts who can illustrate how to recognize signs of abuse that include financial control, reproductive coercion, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, digital abuse, and physical control.
