The September event will focus on seeing or witnessing dating violence in the community and believing it occurs. Hear from survivors of abuse, learn what dating violence can look like for LGBTQ+ teens, develop bystander intervention tactics, tune in for a parent and teen panel discussion, and so much more. The day will consist of a variety of lectures, workshops, conversations and opportunities to ask questions, meet new people and learn where to access community resources.
Join us again in October to continue the theme of believing survivors and concluding with action steps you can take to end dating violence in your community. This second and final event will include workshops on identifying digital abuse, being a male ally, believing in yourself and also include ways to be an effective community advocate.
Along with numerous opportunities to learn, attendees can also participate in multiple giveaways and receive a jam-packed e-magazine filled with community resources. Lastly, after completing both events, attendees will receive a certificate verifying their attendance at the event and topics covered.
Interested in learning more about gender justice, anti-violence, and what you can do to end dating violence in your community? Registration is now open via the PADV website. We’re excited to see you there!
