Coalition Ending Gender Based Violence
Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence Co-ED Policy
The Coalition Ending Gender-Based Violence is seeking a strategic, visionary, and collaborative leader to partner with the Co-Executive Director – Programs and the CEGV Board, staff, and membership to ensure that the Coalition serves as the regional leader of coordinated and innovative services and efforts to improve the King County region’s response to gender-based violence, with a focus on addressing the root causes of violence and abuse through an intersectional racial and gender justice lens.
This is a unique opportunity to positively influence the wide range of policies that impact both gender-based violence programs and survivors in our region through strong collaboration, coalition building and partnership for systemic change.
We work to end gender-based violence and promote equitable relationships through collective action for social change. We support the efforts of our approximately 40 member organizations so that they have tools and resources to work more effectively. The Coalition fights for protective legislation, policies, and funding at the state and local levels to improve how our communities handle domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking, connects professionals across disciplines to share ideas and coordinate services, and offers trainings about current challenges and best practices.
The Co-Executive Directors will work closely together to fulfill the executive leadership responsibilities of the Coalition. While each Co-Executive Director will have areas of primary and secondary responsibility, both positions are oriented to hold equal leadership authority and partner together to ensure the Coalition has the foundation to be successful. The Co-EDs must be able to demonstrate the skill of leaning on and challenging one another to assist with the overall health of the Coalition.
